The Problem with Sizing in Nepal
Most Nepali buyers are used to local market sizing — often unlabelled or inconsistently marked. US sizing (which most sneaker brands use) can feel foreign. A US 9 on Nike might feel like a US 9.5 on New Balance. This guide fixes that.
Measure Your Foot (Seriously, Do It)
Stand on a piece of paper and trace your foot. Measure the longest distance in centimetres. Compare against this chart:
• 24 cm → US 6 • 25 cm → US 7 • 26 cm → US 8 • 27 cm → US 9 • 28 cm → US 10 • 29 cm → US 11 • 30 cm → US 12
If you're between sizes, go up — sneakers don't stretch the way leather shoes do.
Brand-by-Brand Notes
Nike: True to size in most silhouettes. The Air Force 1 and some Jordan styles run big — go half down.
Adidas: Runs slightly small in Ultraboost, true in Samba and Gazelle.
New Balance: Generally true to size, sometimes runs half a size large.
On Running: True to size. Their cloud cushioning accounts for foot spread.
